Health and Safety Assesment

Here is the health and safety assessment for the music video, I has to asses all of the dangers throughout the filming of the music video and had to evaluate how serious the injury would be if it occurred, I then had to decide how high or low the chance of injury was.

Test Shots

We did some test shots for our music video to see how the framing of the image would be and to see if we needed to change any of the shots. We also did this to see if the backgroudn would look good for the location. We put the test shots to music to see how it turned out.
Here are the test shots;

We have decided to keep my outfit the same but to re-shoot these properly in front of a white background and then change the leevels of the video to make the white look a lot brighter than it does here. We also decided to keep my outfit the same because we liked the way it looked on the video and against the white background.

Audience

This shows the target audience for my music video, its shows what ages are most likely to watch this video and it also shows what gender the video would mostly appeal to. This also shows what type of social class are more likely to watch my music video. Because of the type of song, the people who are most likely to watch this are people who like pop music rather than other music types such as rap or jazz.

Examples

This video Locked Out Of Heaven by Bruno Mars is an example of fast paced editing. For our music video, we want to do fast paced editing because of the pace f the song, it is a very fast song therefore we thought that the fast paced editing would be suitable for the song and also would keep the audience interested becauise the video would be changing all of the time. The shots in this video are very fast paced. Rhythmic editing is used to emphasise the songs  rhythm. This gives the effectiveness of a happy mood, because the song is very fast it has the very energetic vibe. By doing this on my music video, this would give this energetic vibe to the audience.

This video by Usher, in the video from time;1:33 to 1:46 is an example of the projection that we want to put into our music video, using the lights from the traffic moving very fast to create the same effect as this video. This creates the effect that the music video is a fast paced video and because we want out music video to be fast paced because of the type of song, we decided to use this same effect that Usher has used in his music video. We are going to do this by filming some traffic on a busy street at night, then we will edit this footage so the trafic looks faster. We will then go into a projection room and project this video on the screen and then have the Artist stand infront of the projection and perform, we will then edit this in the editing suite so make the effect look better. I also like the ide aof over lapping the two videos so that you can see both of them.

In this Rizzle Kicks music video Roud Up, this is an example of the night filming that we want to do for our music video. We are hoping to film just before it gets too dark so that it looks effective on camera but not too dark to make out the picture, this video is an example. In this video, they use a lot of lighting to light up the video so that it is not very dark, we have a problem with this because we are wanting to film this outside we will not have a power supply to light up the video outside. We then thought about filming when the sun is going down, so that it is still a bit light ouside, we would then edit this on the edit suite to make it look darker than it actually is. There is also an effect that can change the video from when it is filmed during day time, and then cna be changed to it look slike night time however, this makes the video black and white which wouldnt give the same effect as it would if it was in colour.
